Isha at her favourite Izakaya in Tokyo, Japan, 2019 - a city which she called home for a few months.

For me, to travel is to breathe; to feel alive; to smell, hear, taste and see things that my senses have never experienced.

I have travelled to 85 cities and lived across 4 countries and 5 cities - but I never get enough.

It all started with my first “solo trip” in the Himalayas, where I was stuck at a base camp. My friends had moved on without me and I was waiting for transportation to go back to the nearest airport.

Those four days of living by myself, talking to strangers, sharing meals with them, seeking a ride to the market to make a single call home, taking long walks at the edge of the valley and listening to the Ganges - I knew I was hooked. There has been no looking back.

Now, every time I take a flight to a go somewhere, I feel a sense of calm that I feel nowhere else. And every time I return “home”, I crave the city and the experiences I left behind. Maybe, home now is everywhere but home :)
